A bond is collected to protect the property from any damage or un-paid rent at the end of tenancy.
The bond (maximum of 4 weeks rent for an unfurnished property and a minimum of 6 weeks rent for a furnished property) is lodged with the Rental Bond Board for the term of the tenancy and will be refunded after the final inspection on vacating the premises (see Moving Out).
